QAD Enhances Functionality of Supply-Chain Software for Global Manufacturers

QAD Inc | October 17, 2007

QAD Inc. has released QAD Enterprise Applications 2007.1, containing a number of enhancements to its software for global manufacturers. The improvements appear in QAD's Transportation Management System (TMS), Supply Visualization, Business Intelligence, .NET UI and QXtend applications. On the transportation-management side, QAD is offering a newly designed user interface, with the ability to ship non-production items directly from the desktop. An on-demand module for supply visualization allows for integration directly with TMS, so that shipments can be seamlessly tracked throughout the supply chain. Dashboards and integrated reporting access across the QAD Data Warehouse permit greater flexibility in reporting and analysis. The new release of QAD .NET UI offers integrated dashboards, role-based collections and ad hoc workflow. QXtend, QAD's integration and services layer, has been enhanced for greater transactional throughput and simpler implementation, the vendor said. QAD applications are available in 27 languages, and can handle multiple currencies.
