Genpact has joined with ICG Commerce, Inc. to offer a "source-to-pay" service for outsourcing procurement. Genpact is a global manager of business processes. Initially established as part of GE Capital to manage multiple business processes, it relies on Six Sigma-based process reengineering. ICG is a specialist in procurement outsourcing, with proprietary tools and supply-market intelligence. Their new joint offering is intended to help companies reduce indirect spend, utilizing their combined sourcing capabilities, spend analytics and category-management services, while realizing process efficiencies. Genpact draws on its expertise in global process reengineering and operational management; ICG adds its strength in sourcing and category management. Over the past year, the companies have collaborated to support the full source-to-pay process for major companies such as Kimberly-Clark Corp.
