Compiere Manufacturing was developed on a open-source platform. It helps companies to integrate and automate planning and scheduling, production control, cost management and reporting across discrete manufacturing operations. Tools for cost management, analysis and reporting provide visibility into production costs, as well as opportunities for improvement. Now available in a hosted, software-as-a-service (SaaS) version, the tool can be customized without programming. It includes purchasing, materials management, order management and global financial management functionality. A new Planners Workbench allows planners to review and modify plans created by material requirements planning (MRP) systems, to meet customer demand. Multi-Step Routing ensures tightly coordinated production control, with an unlimited number of mandatory or optional operations. A Batch Transaction Entry feature enables operators to update multiple work orders on the same screen. Compiere is offering a free Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, comparing various ERP applications that are available in the marketplace.
