Cadec Unveils New Version of DeliveryTracker for Fleet Management

Cadec Global

July 02, 2008

Cadec Global, a vendor of fleet-management software and systems, has introduced a new version of Deliverytracker, the mobile application that extends control into the cabs of trucks. DeliveryTracker 2.0 is an optional software addition to Cadec's existing systems. Capabilities include barcode scanning, full-detailed invoice and manifest, payment and credit handling, electronic signature capture and in-cab printing. Using the tool, fleets can collect data via a broad range of handheld devices, including those from Honeywell/Handheld Products, Intermec and Motorola/Symbol. Information is transferred as an XML file from the handheld unit to the Cadec On-Board Computer (OBC), and then relayed via Wi-Fi or cellular network back to the fleet's central office. From there, it can be integrated with other applications such as supply chain management or enterprise resource planning systems. Cadec resells handheld devices as part of an integrated paperless delivery system. The new version of DeliveryTracker is available immediately.
