Next View Software will release a new set of supply-chain applications at the end of this year. Enhancements include real-time, data-driven visualization for supply chains. Next View Live provides visibility into warehouse, distribution and manufacturing facilities. Users can look into a facility from any angle and see a 3D representation in real time, including inventory positions, forklift operators and material-handling systems. Next View Replay allows users to review past transactions visually as they occurred. Next View Plan optimizes how facilities and processes will run, based on anticipated changes in volume and resources. Design of the software was based on technology available from Microsoft, including the XNA framework and Windows Workflow Foundation. All of the applications are based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA), utilizing Microsoft .NET 3.0 and ASP.NET 2.0 with AJAX. Other tools available from Next View include integrated systems for management of warehouses, labor, yards and warehouse control systems. Next View products are designed for the manufacturing, distribution and retail segments of the supply chain.
