Infosys Technologies Ltd. has entered into a global services partner agreement with SAP AG. The two companies have been working together for more than five years to help customers derive better results from their respective applications. The newly expanded relationship will bolster implementation services, enhance the delivery of software and increase the vendors' global reach, the companies said. Infosys's SAP practice has grown at a rate of nearly 70 percent a year over the past five years. It emphasizes vertically designed applications. Infosys said it plans to establish a "solution center" in Bangalore to ensure that SAP practice professionals help customers advance to the next generation of SAP software. Infosys will also aid companies in realizing the benefits of service-oriented architecture (SOA). To become an SAP global services partner, a company must have demonstrated repeated implementation success, as well as be committed to the SAP strategy of enabling "enterprise SOA" on a global basis.
