BlueStar Inc., a distributor of technology for sales and supply-chain execution, has added three new mobile-computing devices to its product line.
The SRD650 is a mobile computer manufactured by Unitech. The maker has pre-installed four mobile applications at no additional cost: a barcode comparison, memory scanner, asset tracker and inventory manager. The device comes with access to the Kalipso Application Generator. BlueStar is also offering the HP MX10, a point-of-sale system that combines the HP ElitePad Mobile POS device with the HP Retail Expansion Dock. Sales associates can check inventory and verify prices at the customerís side, and accept payment with a built-in magnetic stripe reader. The Expansion Dock provides a complete POS experience at the counter, BlueStar said. In addition, the company is distributing the XT Series of touchscreens from Posiflex. Developed for applications such as POS, way-finding, ticketing and visitor check-in, the XT Series includes such features as five USB ports, dual LAN ports, optional WiFi connectivity, VESA wall-mount capability and controls for two cash drawers. The 15-inch terminals have an intelligent foldable base, allowing users to adjust height and viewing angle.
