Denso ADC Issues New Version of 2D Barcode Scanner
By: Denso ADC September 04, 2014
Denso ADC has developed a new version of its QK Series of presentation barcode scanners.
The QK30 model was designed to read both 1D and 2D barcodes displayed on the LCD screens of cell phones and other mobile devices, as well as codes printed on paper, using Denso’s Interleaving Media Scanning Technology (IMST). The QK30 offers programmable multicolored LEDs, plays audio files and enables IMST remote device management. The device includes IMST programming and configuration software, and can also be programmed using other scripts. The new model is 50-percent thinner than previous versions, yet has a 30-percent larger scanning area, Denso said. Applications include e-tickets, e-coupons and e-membership cards. Both countertop and in-counter or kiosk versions are available.
