Handheld Group Develops New Rugged Computer for Mobile Workers

Handheld Group, a manufacturer of rugged mobile computers and smartphones, has launched a new rugged handheld, the Nautiz X4.
The device is a compact, multipurpose computer built for the mobile worker and optimized for field data collection. It was designed for use in industries such as warehousing, logistics, transportation, utility, field service, security and public safety. The Nautiz 4 features a touchscreen readable in sunlight. It comes with either a 1D laser scanner or 2D image for fast, accurate scanning and barcoding tasks. The device also features a five-megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash. The unit can be used in dusty work environments as well as in heavy rain. It meets military test standards for durability and resistance to humidity, shock, vibration, drops, salt and extreme temperature. It includes both 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity.
