By: Kalitta Air LLC March 18, 2014
Kalitta Air, in cooperation with Wallace Air Cargo Group/Inter Aviation Services and the HAE Group, has launched scheduled freighter services between New York's JFK International Airport and Amsterdam, utilizing Boeing 747-400F freighters.
Offered on a twice-weekly frequency, the flights depart JFK on Thursday and Sunday at 0l:00, arriving at Amsterdam at 14:15. Return flights depart Amsterdam on Friday at 09:15 and Sunday at 17:00. HAE and IAS said they discovered “strong demand” for scheduled main-deck B747 freighter services linking the two hubs, both eastbound and westbound. The airlines’ primary focus will be on heavy and outsized cargo suitable for the main deck, such as oil and gas equipment, aircraft engines, project cargo and automotive components. They will also pursue more specialized cargo, such as the movement of horses. HAE Group will handle eastbound sales, marketing and reservations through its network of offices across the U.S., while westbound freight sales will continue to be managed by IAS in the Benelux countries and by the carriers’ network of GSAs across Europe.
