Motorola Solutions Inc. has expanded its portfolio of Android-based mobile computers, with release of the TC55 touch computer for the Verizon network.
The company has also developed new options for Google Mobile Services. The TC55 features a thin design and a 4.3-inch, high-resolution touchscreen. It is available with three radio platforms. It captures barcodes, signatures, documents, photos and videos. The TC55’s operating system is available in two products built on Android: the Standard TC55 with Google Mobile Services, and the Professional TC55, which does not include GMS, but provides customers with control of application and OS upgrades. The TC55 supports the option to run applications built with Motorola’s RhoMobile Suite 4.0, providing development tools built from the ground up for business mobility applications.
