PeopleNet Issues Aid for Compliance with Electronic-Logging Mandate
By: PeopleNet June 16, 2014
PeopleNet, a provider of truck-fleet mobility technology, has made available a new analysis of the issues that fleet should consider in complying with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Electronic Logging Device (ELD) mandate, and the new law for tracking driver hours of service (HOS).
PeopleNet president Brian McLaughlin said the agency’s latest ruling in March, indicating that the mandate will take effect two years from issuance of the final rule, has “catapulted ELD to a high priority for fleet planning. The new paper, “Preparing for Complying With the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Mandate,” is available at the PeopleNet Resource Center on the company’s website. PeopleNet’s Precision Mobility Platform combines network communications, mobility and analytics to improve fleet performance and decision-making.
