It has developed stochastic algorithms which are designed to minimize the uncertainty and risk inherent in supply-chain management processes. They employ predictive analytics to help manage global distribution networks and multi-stage supply chains. SmartOps tools will now draw on the SAP HANA platform, which helps companies to analyze, predict, react and adjust in real time. SmartOpsí existing Inventory Optimization Suite will expand sales and operations planning functionality based on SAP HANA. Its Enterprise Demand Sensing analytics application, delivered in the cloud, will enhance SAP Demand Signal Management. SmartOps and SAP have a long-standing relationship, the companies noted. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2013.
