SCM, Procurement Software Market Worth $9Bn in 2013; SAP Leads All Others

The market in supply chain management and procurement software grew by 7.3 percent to $8.9bn (£5.27bn) in 2013, according to Gartner.
SAP retained its number one position with a 23.9 percent market share, growing its revenue by 24 percent from $1.7bn (£1.02bn) in 2012 to $2.14bn (£1.27bn) in 2013. The firm has been the market leader for more than a decade, said Gartner.
In second place was Oracle with a market share of 16.3 percent, down on 17.4 percent in 2012, and revenue of $1.46bn (£861.5m), up just 0.1 percent on 2012.
