The facility is being operated under a “shared asset” model, offering clients access to both warehousing and freight-forwarding expertise. Covering 228,000 square feet, the site combines warehousing activities for contract logistics clients and space for air, ocean and ground freight forwarding. Previously, UTi maintained two separate buildings, located 11 miles apart. UTi is a non-asset-based provider of supply-chain services, including air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics and truckload brokerage. Customers include companies in the retail, apparel, chemical, automotive, pharmaceutical and technology industries.
