Webgistix Corp., a vendor of software and services for electronic-commerce order fulfillment, has introduced Webgistix SmartShip.
The tool helps e-commerce retailers to adopt a strategic approach to inventory placement, by drawing on Webgistix's nationwide network of fulfillment centers. According to the vendor, SmartShip users can offer their customers a service level comparable to that of Amazon Prime, while working with Webgistix fulfillment consultants to optimize the distribution of inventory across the company's facilities in Atlanta, Las Vegas, New York and Reno, NV. E-tailers can reduce delivery times by 24 hours or more with the help of optimized inventory placement across the country, having to handle all fulfillment from a single location, Webgistix said. The company also operates international locations to expedite delivery to consumers outside the U.S.
