| The Institute of Logistical Management recently celebrated its 79th year of providing specialized education to students who are primarily interested in pursuing a career in the field of transportation and distribution management. The Institute prides itself on its practical approach and skill training curriculum. No other school, college or university can duplicate its long tradition of teaching and employing the concept of "practical skills" training as the Institute has done. Some 2,500 companies, government agencies, railroads, motor carriers and freight forwarders have hired many of the 84,000+ alumni of the Institute to manage their companies and logistics departments. |

| Kellogg Graduate School of Management Executive Program - Global Supply Chain Management |
| During this program, a cross-functional faculty team from academia and industry will review state-of-the-art planning models and practical tools for supply chain management and multi-plant coordination. Sessions will focus on effective logistics strategies for companies operating in several countries and on the integration of supply chain components into a coordinated system to increase service level and reduce costs. The MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics is widely recognized as an international leader in the field. Its efforts include significant contributions to logistics modeling and supply chain management for shippers; to technology and policy analysis for government; and to management, planning and operations for trucking, railroad, air and ocean carriers. In addition to administering three interdisciplinary graduate programs including the Master of Engineering in Logistics, designed primarily for people with work experience -- the Center helps coordinate the extensive transportation and logistics research conducted throughout MIT. The Center also takes part in several executive transportation courses including, this year, Supply Chain Management:Thought Leadership, a fast-paced mix of management exercises, faculty-led business case studies, and lively, thought-provoking lecture/discussion sessions delivered by an all-star team of experts. |

| Pennsylvania State University Word Campus - Undergraduate Certificate program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management |
| The Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management consists of four 3-credit courses. The graduate-level courses provide much greater focus, challenge, and depth relative to the undergraduate certificate offerings. Greater emphasis is placed on the strategic and integrative dimensions of supply chain management. The implications of e-commerce in relation to supply chain management are also explored more deeply. Penn State's internationally renowned Department of Business Logistics offers the program, which was developed and is taught by faculty approved by the University's Smeal College of Business Administration. |

| Trident Technical College |
| In 1964, the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Technical Education Center was established as part of a statewide system founded by Gov. Ernest F. Hollings to meet the education and training needs of South Carolina. The center opened with two buildings and 226 students. In 1973, to accommodate its increasing growth, the center merged with Palmer College, a private business college in downtown Charleston. The combined Palmer College and B-C-D Technical Education Center became Trident Technical College. The General Business Department offers an Associate Degree in Business with two majors: General Business and Management. The General Business Program at Trident requires courses in mathematics, business, the humanities, and social sciences in addition to economics, accounting, and marketing. Certificates in Management include courses on Transportation and Logistics, Leadership Development, Business Information Systems, and Corporate Quality. |
