4SIGHT Implements Operations and Engineering Improvements to Support Client's Expansion

Challenge: In 2011, due to increasing customer demand and product line expansion driven by organic growth and acquisition, our client determined that it was necessary to move its distribution operations to a larger facility.

Solution: 4SIGHT implemented a series of distribution operations improvements and engineering services including DC layout, material handling and storage media analysis and selection, and determination of the ideal order fulfillment methodologies to support the client's product mix and customer order profiles.  Following these services the client retained 4SIGHT to provide implementation support for the DC go-live. 4SIGHT worked alongside client personnel to manage the inventory transition, perform systems integration tasks, and prepare the DC for operation.   With the new facility on-line, the client turned to 4SIGHT to implement best practices, document new workflows, and train personnel.

Results: The successful completion of this project enabled the client to increase inventory and order accuracy, improve worker productivity, and maintain customer service excellence.
