A Reuters/Ipsos poll released in July of this year found that 70 percent of Americans think it is "very important" or "somewhat important" to buy U.S.-made products.

With that sentiment in mind, the Alliance for Manufacturers released its 2017 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide.

Here are a few ideas from that list.

This company uses sustainably harvested rubberwood, plant-based plastics, and water based stains for its line of toys.

Sword & Plough

Sword & Plough repurposes military surplus into bags and totes. The veteran-founded company gives 10 percent of profits to veteran-related causes.

1888 Mills

Marriott hotels sources its towels from 1888 Mills, one of the last remaining towel manufacturing plants in the United States.
