Accenture Unveils New Mobility Platform for Consumer Goods

Accenture has introduced a new version of its Accenture CAS software for consumer-goods companies.

The tool was designed to help clients support sales processes through enablement of their mobile workforces. Version 10 offers expanded capabilities with the new Accenture CAS Mobility Platform. It gives users access to the software over iOS, Android and Windows devices. The platform also integrates with major enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply-chain management systems, bringing together key users in sales and delivery departments. In the process, all aspects of sales - including trade-promotion management, distributor management, retail execution and direct store delivery (DSD) - can be managed through the same interface for multiple devices. The update also features improved digital merchandising functionality, the option to use external modeling sources in trade-promotion optimization, and support within the DSD component for logistics and sales and marketing processes for developed and emerging markets.
