Achieving Supplier Collaboration to Reach Your Risk Management Goals
Achieving Supplier Collaboration to Reach Your Risk Management Goals

Almost everyone agrees that buy-in and cooperation from internal stakeholders "within the four walls" is no longer sufficient. You need tier 1 and sub-tier supplier collaboration and trust to manage supply chain risk and build end-to-end supply chain resiliency. However, supplier incentives are not always aligned with their customers and many suppliers are not comfortable that transparency and fuller disclosure -- with respect to vulnerabilities and threats, crises readiness, continuity plans, production capacity, and CSR exposures -- is in their best interest.

Supplier trust and transparency can be achieved, but it needs to be earned. The question remains ‘What’s in it for suppliers?’. This multi-media special report explores several brand/OEM-driven supplier collaboration and information sharing strategies and potential supplier benefits related to education; incentives, rewards, preferred status; financial stability; and productivity. Insights are provided by leaders on both sides of the equation at Amgen and their strategic suppliers EMD Millipore, as well as a supply chain collaboration expert at ChainLink Research.
