AirClic Releases Update of Cloud-Based TMS Application for 3PLs

AirClic, a provider of cloud-based software for mobile supply chain and logistics operations, has released version r12.4 of Transport Perform, its transportation-management system (TMS) application.

The update expands support for high-volume cross-docking, allowing dock workers to receive, stage and load shipments from one or more suppliers in parallel, and validate received items or shipments in real time against advance shipment notice data. Transport Perform, a third-party logistics mobile transportation-management product, works with any device or carrier. With the new version, data required to process shipments from suppliers can be captured and validated from the first point of contact on the dock. Inbound shipments are validated in real time against advance shipment data, at item, order and supplier container levels. The system automatically directs the dock worker to the correct outbound container and route based on such shipment details as end destination and customer location. Configurable workflows ensure that dock worker activity is based on the original supplier's requirements. A graphical interface for administrators allows for the setup and configuration of workflow forms for dock workers and drivers. Customizable performance reports support cross-dock receiving and post-receiving reconciliation with supplier systems, based on the unique rules of each.
