Aras Makes Available Packaged CAD Connectors From ICP Solution

Aras, a developer of Microsoft open-source software, has made generally available packaged computer-aided design (CAD) connectors from ICP Solution GmbH & Co. KG. ICP is a provider of CAD connector integration products and product lifecycle management (PLM) deployment services for the Aras Innovator PLM suite. The company covers the portfolio of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD design software. ICP's CAD connectors provide extensive product structure handling and data-extraction capabilities for Aras Innovator, the company said. The ICP Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD connector products for Aras Innovator allow users to load and save a 3D model structure as a document structure in Aras Innovator, create a parts list and import to Aras Innovator as a bill of materials product structure, create a drawing and refresh title block data, and plot and convert file formats by batch queue. The technology offers pull-down menus for approval, release and revision operations; model and drawing status information; complete or selective structure copying; and read and write access rights, reservation capabilities and preview functionality.
