Ariba Contracts Launched on Salesforce.com's Business Apps Marketplace

The Ariba Contracts application of Ariba, Inc. has been launched on Salesforce.com's AppExchange. Ariba Contracts was built using Force.com, Salesforce.com's platform for employee-facing social applications. The Ariba product allows companies to engage in a fully automated contracting process, involving multiple individuals collaborating in real time. They can use the tool to create and manage contracts across functions such as sales, finance, marketing, real estate, legal, procurement and IT. The arrangement makes available the social capabilities of Salesforce Chatter, such as profiles, status updates and real-time feeds, within Ariba Contracts on Force.com. Ariba Contracts draws on the mobile capabilities of Force.com, making contracts accessible on mobile devices such as the Android, BlackBerry, iPad and iPhone. Proactive alerts and task-driven dashboards help to eliminate process bottlenecks and increase user productivity, Ariba said.
