CaroTrans Expands Partnership With Craft in East Coast South America Service

CaroTrans, a non-vessel operating common carrier and ocean freight consolidator, is expanding its partnership with Craft Multimodal in the East Coast of South America (ECSA) trade.

In addition to their established relationship in Brazil, the two companies will now team up in Argentina and Uruguay. They will provide both less-than-containerload (LCL) and full-containerload (FCL) services. The arrangement offers end-to-end local sales and customer support. CaroTrans has 14 local offices and 25 container freight stations throughout North America. The Craft Group, an NVO specializing in South America, has a team of 120 sales and customer-service professionals, with seven offices in Brazil and three elsewhere in Latin America. It has a 40-percent share of the Brazilian LCL market, according to CaroTrans. In April of 2012, CaroTrans announced a new Brazil LCL export service direct from Miami to Itajai.
