CaroTrans Offers New Weekly Service From New York to Finland

CaroTrans, a global non-vessel operating common carrier and ocean freight consolidator, has launched a weekly less-than-containerload (LCL) service from New York to Helsinki, Finland, a hub for consolidations into northwestern Russia.

According to the company, the direct service option eliminates transshipment costs and delays associated with freight moving via adjacent ports in Northern Europe. For the last 13 years, CaroTrans has partnered with Nordicon, an NVO operating in the Nordic region with offices in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Services including a fully integrated domestic trucking network, warehouse operations at each port, and I.T. resources such as e-cargo release for expedited freight discharge.
