ClearOrbit's Compliance Label Management App Now "Powered by NetWeaver"

The Compliance Label Manager (CLM) software from ClearOrbit has achieved "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" status. ClearOrbit is a provider of software for supply-chain execution and reverse logistics. CLM is an application for managing barcode and radio frequency identification (RFID) printing. The certification was achieved by demonstrating that CLM meets all of the technical and business criteria established by SAP for its NetWeaver Certified status, including deployment on the NetWeaver Application Server-based J2EE Engine 7.1. CLM offers a configurable environment for barcode and label production and management. It allows manufacturers and distributors quickly to design and print labels to meet customer and regulatory labeling requirements. They can define and manage barcode and label formats without the expense and maintenance concerns of custom programming. The tool supports instantaneous label changes globally, without the need for code modification, ClearOrbit said. CLM can be applied throughout the supply chain, including inbound items from suppliers, internal warehousing and manufacturing operations, and outbound for shipping, distribution and logistics. It features a Java-based load-balancing barcode print server with Web-based management console.
