DAP Technologies to Include AirWatch Software in Rugged Mobile Computers

DAP Technologies will embed AirWatch's Mobile Device Management (MDM) software within its rugged handheld and tablet computers. DAP customers will receive a free, one-year subscription to the application, which allows companies to remotely secure, monitor and support all mobile devices. Beginning in October, DAP's M9000 tablets, M1000 handhelds and M2000 series handhelds will be the first products to ship with MDM. AirWatch's multi-tenant architecture provides a single, real-time, integrated view of all deployed mobile devices. The Web-based remote management feature of DAP's computers allows for diagnostics, provisioning, software updates, GPS asset tracking and mapping. If the device is lost or stolen, data can be remotely wiped from the device. DAP sells tablet and vehicle-mount computers to a variety of industries, including utilities, field service, identity management, warehousing, transportation and logistics.
