Dassault Systemes Unveils New Product-Design App for Biotech and Pharma

Dassault Systemes, a vendor of product lifecycle management (PLM) software, has launched a new application for pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

Dubbed Licensed to Cure for BioPharma, the tool helps users to manage complexity by smoothing drug variation and allowing for faster expansion into new markets. It also aids companies in complying with regulatory requirements. Biotech and pharma producers are increasingly turning to drug variations to drive growth and achieve market differentiation, Dassault said. A single active pharmaceutical ingredient might yield as many as 1,000 finished products. The new platform is intended to foster collaboration, innovation and compliance, the vendor said. Dassault sells PLM software in more than 140 countries. Its products include Catia, Solidworks, Simulia, Delmia, Enovia and Geovia.
