Data Storage Network Provider Renews Service Planning Contract with Baxter

Network Appliance, a provider of data management solutions for storing, managing, protecting and retaining enterprise data, has renewed its global service planning solution agreement with Baxter Planning Systems.

Baxter maintains that its flexibility in meeting NetApp's evolving business requirements, high SaaS system reliability and the ability to create global planning solutions tailored to local requirements drove the decision to continue the Baxter relationship that started in 1999. "Both companies depend upon each other, and the result is a level of achievement and success that is rarely seen between a systems supplier and a large customer," says Rusty Walther, senior vice president of global support for NetApp. "We depend upon Baxter to drive the execution that makes our logistics business the industry benchmark, and they've always delivered on that promise."

Baxter says that its suite of planning tools, NetApp has achieved customer first-time fill rates greater than 99 percent while at the same time leading the industry with the lowest "inventory per service revenue" measure.

"We are very proud of our relationship with NetApp, one of the top technology leaders in the world. Through this effective partnership, we have worked together with NetApp's talented planning team to broaden our product footprint. We remain focused on the development and delivery of flexible service parts planning and execution solutions so customers such as NetApp can count on us to meet their ever-changing business requirements," says Greg Baxter, founder and CEO of Baxter Planning Systems.
