DB Schenker Logistics Offers Four New Gateways to Russia

DB Schenker Logistics is now offering European land-transport service to Russia via four gateways: Berlin, Germany; Krakow, Poland; Riga, Latvia and Helsinki, Finland.

The locations are linked with the rest of DB Schenker's European network and its hubs, and further allow for movements to St. Petersburg and Moscow. The new structure is part of a special focus on service to Russia and the CIS and Baltic states, according to DB Schenker. The company maintains a national distribution network of 22 locations, with 800 staff members. Services being offered for Eastern Europe include such options as short-sea shipping and intermodal transport via Riga, where DB Schenker has a transshipment terminal which connects to the Russian broad-gauge rail system.
