Denver's University College Offers New Global Commerce + Transportation Major

University College, the college of professional and continuing studies at the University of Denver, is offering a new major in global commerce and transportation, as part of its Bachelor of Arts Completion Program (BACP).

The program is available online, on campus, or in a combination of both. Instruction covers transportation safety and security issues, law and policy, economics and finance, international trade, supply chain and logistics, and transportation modes. "Conversations with corporations involved in global commerce and transportation have confirmed the need for well-qualified graduates for future career opportunities," said George Woodward, president of the board of directors of the University's Intermodal Transportation Institute. Possible careers for degree holders include entry-level positions with transportation providers, and supply-chain management and logistics services, including air package express, rail, motor and ocean carriers. The BACP is designed for adults who have completed at least one year of undergraduate credit. University College also offers master's degrees in nine areas, with more than 30 certificates and a variety of lifelong learning courses.
