DHL has moved into a new service center in Memphis, Tenn., serving the tri-state area of Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.

The company said its $2.5m investment was driven by current and forecasted shipment growth from local businesses trading internationally, as well as by electronic-commerce shopping. The 30,000-square-foot facility can process more than 2,500 shipments per hour. Located adjacent to Memphis International Airport, it operates as DHL’s local center for pickup, delivery and sorting of international shipments.
