Faster Than Real Time: The Future of Simulation

Industries will make much greater use of simulation in the future as technology advances enable programs  to accurately predict future events faster than they can occur in real time, says John Berra of Emerson Process Management. In this interview by Andy Chatha, president of ARC Advisory Group, Berry says that simulation applications will be fed process events as they take place, enabling outcomes to be known well in advance of their actual occurrence. Berra also describes what companies need to do to develop a culture of innovation. [Run Time (Min.): 10:45]
