Global Spirits Company Relies on Weber for Distribution of Imports

Challenge: One of the world's leading premium drinks companies sought an outsourced solution for distribution of container and rail imports from the West Coast. They chose Weber Logistics to coordinate drayage, transloading, and warehousing, with all distribution to FIFO standards.

Solution: Key components of the solution included: Handling overweight containers. Containers and rail cars were above California's weight restriction for over-the-road shipments.  Weber transloads products in the overweight corridor near the Ports of LA/Long Beach, converts them to legal trailer weights, then stores product at a nearby Weber warehouse for final distribution. Regulatory compliance.  Weber holds a license to distribute alcohol, and its SOPs meet all the regulatory requirements of the U.S. Alcohol, Tobacco, Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

Results: Weber is the customer's single-source solution for drayage, transloading, storage, and order processing, with superior execution during normal and peak volume periods.

About the Solution Provider: Founded in 1924, Weber Logistics provides west region warehousing, transportation, and import logistics solutions. With 19 distribution centers and freight terminal throughout the Western U.S., Weber gives growing companies flexible, scalable distribution solutions for their west region customers, from the Rockies to the Pacific Coast.
