The need to maintain a tight integration between parts management and logistics is a key factor in providing the level of visibility and insight into service and parts demand ensuring that all stakeholders can make the right decisions in order to get the right part, to the right agent, delivered to the customer in a timely/cost-effective manner. The importance of ensuring that these aspects of the service organization are tightly linked is made even more apparent when considering that high tech organizations rated themselves just above average in regard to the level of visibility currently achieved throughout the service part lifecycle.
