IAS-Trinium Launches DispatchManager Service for Intermodal Moves

IAS-Trinium has a new service called DispatchManager. The offering provides Internet-based truck-dispatch capabilities on a subscription basis, supplanting the use of fax, e-mail and telephone for the dispatching of work orders from ocean carriers, beneficial cargo owners and third-party logistics providers. Formed earlier this year, IAS-Trinium is a joint venture between International Asset Systems, a provider of information systems to ocean carriers, and Trinium Technologies, a vendor of software for the North American intermodal trucking industry. The new service creates a single connection among the parties involved in the dispatch of orders to intermodal trucking companies. With its reliance on the Internet, the system eliminates duplicate data entries, invoice reconciliations, errors and waits for information to update customers. Users can capture accurate and timely dispatch information and avoid inefficiencies, the company said. Customers automatically receive proof-of-delivery notices, and payment to truckers is expedited. Dispatch information is accessible round the clock. The product is available in three versions: DispatchManager Pro, Envoy and Dray. DispatchManager has an accessible uptime of 99 percent and requires no up-front IT or capital investment, IAS-Trinium claimed.
