InSync Unveils Returnable Asset-Tracking Tool With RFID

InSync Software, Inc., a vendor of radio frequency identification (RFID) and sensor-driven software, has made available an RFID-Driven Returnable Asset Tracking Solution. The tool utilizes InSync's Edgeware development platform, allowing for the rapid development of returnable-asset applications, the company said. The Edgeware platform features a library of pre-defined workflows and utilities commonly used in RFID and sensory applications. It is used to configure and manage hardware devices such as RFID portal antennas, vision systems, GPS, barcode and other sensor technologies. In addition to device management, Edgeware features dashboard views of processes, asset movements and events, filtering real-time data across customer-defined business logic and rules. The data can be used to automate common processes such as shipping and receiving. The product also allows for seamless integration to enterprise resource planning (ERP) and warehouse management (WMS) systems.
