Iran Re-Integrates Into Global Airfreight Forwarding

In another sign that Iran may soon play a larger role in world airfreight as it re-emerges from U.N. sanctions, the WACO network of independent freight management companies has added Iran-based Amadrah International Freight Forwarding to its roster.

The Tehran-based forwarder offers global supply chain services and operates out of Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport Cargo Terminal. WACO, a global independent freight management and logistics organization, has membership of 110 members in 107 countries, with a combined network of more than 400 locations. Its members handle more than 1.85 million shipments each year, including 1 million tons of airfreight.
