Janam Technologies Unveils New Rugged Mobile Computer

Janam Technologies has introduced a new addition to its XM series of rugged mobile computers.

The XM70 is intended to offer the same form factor and rugged design of Janam's flagship XM66. The new model supports both Android and Microsoft Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 operating systems on the same device. Backward compatibility with XM66 accessories allows customers to reuse existing peripherals and batteries while upgrading to the latest mobile computing platform in a cost-effective manner. Weighing less than 10 ounces and equipped with a 3.5-inch display, the XM70 offers 1D and 2D barcode scanning with Zebra’s SE4500 scan engine. The device can withstand drops of four feet to concrete and was designed to operate in a full spectrum of temperatures. It can be deployed in a variety of industries, including hospitality, healthcare, transportation and logistics, and ticketing.
