Labelmaster Issues 35th Edition of Dangerous Goods Code

Labelmaster, a maker of products that aid in compliance with regulations on the transportation and handling of hazardous materials, is offering the 2010 edition of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code. The 35th edition, in two volumes, is a requirement for all waterborne vessels shipping hazardous materials on international routes. The latest amendment takes effect on Jan. 1, 2011, with full force of the rules on Jan. 1, 2012. This year's edition features new markings for shipping limited quantities, substantial changes to the Dangerous Goods List, and updated recommendations for the training of shoreside personnel. The IMDG Code includes detailed requirements for labeling, markings, documentation and training provisions in connection with articles defined as dangerous. It includes packaging requirements for each article, as well as testing procedures for large and small packages. The code is priced at $235 for the two-volume, perfect-bound set, or $320 for the electronic version, available on USB drive or CD. Labelmaster is offering special pricing on a pre-publication Multimodal Combo Package for $239, through Sept. 30.
