Orbis Debuts Plastic, Reusable Corrugated Box for Automated Lines

Orbis Corp., a manufacturer of sustainable reusable packaging, has introduced what it says is the first plastic, reusable corrugated box to work seamlessly with automated packaging lines.

Dubbed PlastiCorr, the unit is intended for use by food, beverage and consumer packaged goods companies. Its patented Enfold technology features a joint design that ensures that the box's flaps return to a straight position after each use. It is dimensionally and structurally consistent with today’s packaging operations and can be used in all types of low-, medium- and high-speed lines, both manual and automated, Orbis said. The boxes are designed to last for multiple cycles through a supply chain. They feature smooth, sealed edges for increased safety, cleanliness and ergonomics. PlastiCorr is 100-percent recyclable at the end of its service length, Orbis said.
