The Outsourcing Institute, a neutral network of outsourcing buyers and providers, plans to unveil a new online portal which will offer access to best practices, tools and support, along with global networking opportunities for outsourcing buyers, providers and advisers. The portal was to launch during OutsourceWorld New York 2007, taking place Oct. 24-25 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. The portal will be available 24 hours a day, for institute "platinum" members looking to buy, sell, advise or manage within the outsourcing arena. It promises access to resources and organizations related to the topic of outsourcing, regardless of company size or budget. The Web-based platform will allow participants to collaborate with on-demand access to best practices, new research, suppliers, clients, new hires and other opportunities.
