Parallels Launches New High-End Graphics Workstation

Parallels, a provider of technology for application hosting, cloud-service enablement and desktop virtualization, has launched Parallels Workstation 6 Extreme. The new tool allows designers, engineers and animators to move between multiple applications without the need for reboots or shuffling between computers. It incorporates the Intel 500 and 5600 series chipsets, with support for the latest Intel virtualization technologies as well as expanded support for Intel virtualization technology for directed input/output. Users get the perception of a single-purpose machine regardless of which application or operating system environments are being used. Parallels Mobile for iPad, iPhone and IPod Touch, available in the App Store, enable remote access to all virtual environments and their applications from any location.
