Registration Open for Annual Warehousing and Logistics Conference

The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) launched registration for its annual conference for logistics professionals. The conference takes place May 6-9, 2018 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Warehousing and logistics is a vast, vast industry that intersects all border and sectors,” said WERC president Michael Mikitka. “The WERC Annual Conference brings people out of their facilities and presents them with innovative approaches and tested solutions that will improve operations.”

Approximately 1,000 logistics professionals attend the conference each year. Through keynote presentations, educational sessions, group discussions, facility tours, networking events and the ever-popular Solutions Center, attendees thoroughly explore industry priorities such as omni-channel, labor management, metrics and more. Many of the sessions are peer-led, ensuring the content is relevant, timely and applicable for today’s professionals.

“In warehousing, we all share similar opportunities and challenges, but the practicalities of our sector —whether it be manufacturing, health care, retail or one of the many other possibilities — give us very different perspectives,” says Mikitka. “WERC is the unifier and the aggregator of expertise from across the industry, helping our members create connections and share solutions to drive the industry forward.”

Registration is open online at werc.org/2018. Registrants can enjoy exclusive savings if they are a WERC member, use WERC’s official hotel reservations partner or register early before March 21, 2018. WERC is also now accepting applications from suppliers wishing to be part of the Solutions Center.

WERC is the only professional organization focused on logistics management and its role in the supply chain. Since being founded in 1977, WERC has offered resources that help distribution practitioners and suppliers stay on top in our dynamic, variable field. These include national, regional, local and online educational events; performance metrics for benchmarking; practical research; expert insights; and multiple opportunities for peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.
