SkyBitz Unveils Asset-Management and Tracking Tool

SkyBitz, a maker of remote asset-tracking and information-management technology, has introduced the Falcon Series GXT2000.

The global positioning system (GPS) device provides North American coverage for 3G and 4G cellular networks. It tracks the location and status of assets without the need for an external power source throughout the chain of events. The GXT2000 was built on the same platform as SkyBitz’s Falcon GXT3000. The new model was designed to provide flexibility in operation, taking less than 30 minutes on average to install, SkyBitz said. It is encased in a weatherproof housing and is IP67 rated. Build-in LEDs provide instant installation verification. The product is energy-efficient and can be programmed to shut off when in a specific geographic zone, or for periods of time to conserve power. The GXT2000 also allows for cargo-status data via sensors, and over-the-air troubleshooting.
