TMW Systems Bolsters Driver Scheduling, Load Consolidation

TMW Systems Inc., a vendor of transportation software for the logistics and trucking industries, has released Version 6.0 of IDSC MatchAdvice, its load-planning application. The product is designed to maximize driver and truck utilization through the optimal match of power units and loads, TMW said. IDSC MatchAdvice integrates with all major commercial dispatch software, as well as custom in-house systems. Working in real time, it presents load planners and dispatchers with suggested load and power matchups that are calculated to generate the highest profit margins and improve asset placement. It accounts for multiple business factors, such as available and needed driver hours, customer delivery or pickup requirements and windows, driver home-time needs, and movements that result in fewer empty miles. Among the new features in Version 6.0 is shift-based driver scheduling, which can optimize worker assignments for fleets operating in scheduled shifts.
