Tradeshift Acquires Product Info-Management Firm Merchantry

Tradeshift, vendor of a software platform for supplier collaboration, has acquired Merchantry, a cloud-based provider of product information-management (PIM) services.

Merchantry's PIM technology allows organizations quickly to connect with suppliers, providing product information across multiple online channels. The company was founded in 2004 to provide e-commerce integration technology to large retailers. The price of the deal was $30m in cash and stock. Launched in 2010, Tradeshift links 500,000 companies across 190 countries, connecting buyers, suppliers and their applicable processes.
