Truition Releases Version 5.0 of Commerce Management Software

Truition Inc., a vendor of hosted electronic commerce software, has launched version 5.0 of CMS, its commerce management system for retailers and direct-to-consumer manufacturers. New store-management features give more control to merchants, allowing them to maintain the design and layout of their e-commerce sites while providing advanced preview and approval workflows. New gift certificate and store credit features let online retailers boost the use of gift cards and provide better tools for customer retention and loyalty, Truition said. Customers using Fluid Experience product-display technologies can experience better integration between CMS inventory management and Fluid display management tools. Truition is now making available to customers an object-based store content management system. Users can not only change the design and layout of their sites, but schedule when site changes occur, as well as preview and approve changes via a preview mode, which lets them navigate their storefront as it would exist at some point in the future. The new eGift Certificate and Store Credit functions of CMS 5.0 allow a marketer to create multiple gift certificate templates, offer the certificates in multiple languages and currencies, and let recipients redeem gift certificates toward future purchases.
