Two Technologies Unveils New Rugged Android Device

Two Technologies, a developer of handheld computers and terminals, has introduced the N5Print, the newest addition to its line of ultra-rugged handheld devices.

Suitable for the management of transportation activities, the all-in-one device handles communications, data input, credit card transactions, photography, scanning and on-the-spot printing. It features a 13-megapixel color camera, with audio and video recording capabilities, 16 GB of internal memory and 64 GB MicroSD. The N5Print has a rain-resistant, 5.7-inch touchscreen. Data can be uploaded to the device while other activities are being executed. In case of an emergency in the field, the N5Print includes an alert button that can be programmed to send an SMS text message while running an unrelated application, or no application at all. The device runs on version 4.4.4 (KitKat) of the Android operating system and features a hot-swappable battery, three-channel magnetic-stripe reader, smart-card reader and dedicated barcode scanner. A drop-in cradle with spare battery charge can be used for desktop or vehicle mounting.
